Shaolin Mantis Kung Fu emphasis on being rooted enabling one to unbalance and overcome the aggressor. Even if you are a small build the Mantis Practitioner is able to use their improved balance and internal strength alongside proper breath control and concentration to counter being attacked and deliver effective techniques to stop the aggressor.
IMPROVED CONCENTRATION & FOCUS
Parts of this particular Kung Fu style are technical requiring one to concentrate carefully and think about what they are being taught and how it can be applied in a real life situation. Kung Fu is one of the harder martial arts to learn and children have to improve their concentration to get good. Practising such concentration and focus helps with better concentration at school and in a variety of other situations.
RESPECT & DISCIPLINE
Learning martial arts helps with learning how to respect yourself and others. Kung Fu has been developed over centuries, and was part of the chinese military training. It was and still is practised by the Shaolin Monks who are renowned for their Kung Fu skills which takes discipline to practice and understand.
